For most people, the first thing we see when we were born into this world is the ceilings of the delivery room in the hospital. Then congratulations! You have been acquainted and living in a room of the space since then. A place to get security, freedom, and a sense of comfort.
In my opinion, the relationship between space and humans are inseparable. Take a step back for a minute and see the room where we belong, there is a space along with the ceiling/roof of the building. Looking further, we will find the city space matched with the roof of the sky. Furthermore, there is our universe paired with the roof of the galaxy, and so on.
This is the reason why I am interested in illustrating the human form and space. There is no limit from its relationship and I encounter it every day. Every time I draw these subjects, some questions always haunted my thoughts: Will the human form always be in the same shapes with what we see today? Will the textures, colors, and density of spaces change over time from the way we live? What will happen if that harmony breaks? Moreover, will the human form transform in different shapes if he lived in a different space of time?
I summarize these questions with the name of ‘the x substance’
Responding to the x substance, I express this restless feeling by creating illustrations contained with the abstract and fluid strokes following with colors and texture compositions. Which are sometimes inside or outside the subject’s outline, I let everything flows. I overcome the thoughts on my works, and over time, I get the privilege of exploring these matters more into my commission works until now.
